I had to take a short break from promoting my web prosperity system to comment on the global launch of Web Prosperity. This is an editorial by me and it’s just my opinion.

Web Prosperity is getting ready for the Global launch, February 1, 2009, tomorrow. If you are planning on joining this opportunity, you may want to reconsider. I found another post on scam.com and the author states that some retired high level investigators are looking into the pasts of the top level players and the founder, David D’arcangelo.

Here is a quote from that post:

"There are several retired high level investigators digging into the pasts of the top level players and Darcangelo. We will see what that reveals.

The comp plan clearly violates law in a dozen states and FTC as well as Australian law.

Many are already filing complaints with the FTC, etc. "

I don’t know any of the top level players or the founder, but I do understand the laws and what I read. To me, Web Prosperity is not a business that I would get involved with. There are just too many red flags flying around that opportunity. I may reconsider once the dust settles, but at this time, I would stay away.

This is just my opinion, and being around the block, once or twice, I don’t feel very comfortable with the opportunity. With that said, if you’re planning on getting involved with Web Prosperity, I wish you luck and I hope I’m wrong.

Okay, I’ll just go back to promoting my web prosperity system, Veretekk. The more I use Veretekk the more I learn about it, and the more powerful it becomes. I’m continually amazed at the power of Veretekk, my Web Prosperity System. The latest project was to get this web site (www.web-prosperity-system.com) to show up in the search engines, like Google, MSN, and Yahoo!. I created the site on January 14, 2009, and in fifteen (15) days, my site, or should I say, several of my blog posts, made it to the number one spot on Google (I haven’t checked MSN or Yahoo! yet).

Building prosperity on the web is possible if you have something to offer other people, like a unique product, a great service, or a solution to a problem. BUT, there’s something else that has to happen, people have to be able to find your information. And what better place to be then number one on Google for your specific keyword(s). You could have the best information regarding a web prosperity system, or anything else you’re promoting, but if people can’t find you what good is it.

Getting to the top of Google typically takes time, and a lot of backlinks, unless you’re using my proven web prosperity system called Veretekk. This site, and maybe even post, is a perfect example of what I’m talking about. Without a system, especially when it comes to SEO, it’s almost impossible to get to the top of the search engines.

The thought about making money on the web may never cross your mind. The reason; some people I’ve talked to say there are nothing but scams being promoted. So what’s the difference between a real business opportunity and a scam?

First of all, if it sounds too good to be true, it’s either a lot of hype, or some kind of scam. Secondly, if you have to pay to play (or pay money to join), it’s a scam. Legitimate business opportunities, like affiliate programs, DO NOT charge you money to promote their products and/or services. Scams, typically, make you pay money to get involved, an illegal practice, at least in my eyes.

That leads me to an opportunity that I’ve been pitched on by several marketers, Web Prosperity. Is Web Prosperity a legitimate business opportunity? Well, according to what I’ve read online about Web Prosperity, it fits into the category of a scam. Why? Because of the pay to play nature of the opportunity. In order to make money with Web Prosperity, it’s my understanding that you have to pay money first. According to several posts on scam.com, that fits into the category of a scam. Here’s a quote from one such post:

"First of all it is a regulation in the US and Australia to offer a free affiliate option for people to retail the product or service and earn some money.

It means the product should be able to stand on it’s own as a viable product or service for use without the consideration as being only window dressing to promote a pyramid scheme."

Web Prosperity also targets what many call "the big five failure factors":

• Fear of loss
• Greed
• Laziness
• Ignorance
• Gullibility

From what I’ve seen, that’s exactly how the Web Prosperity opportunity is being promoted. They are playing on your emotions, not your objective reasoning. A big red flag in my eyes, not to mention the authorities.

John Counsel, on his blog, Real Network Marketing, comments on Web Prosperity and the problems with this opportunity. Here is an excerpt from his blog:

"Bottom Line: there are too many issues, uncertainties and questionable track records involved in too many aspects of the opportunity for me to be able to support it, in principle or practice."

John also gives this warning about uploading your email contacts into Web Prosperity’s autoresponder:

"If you decide to join Web Prosperity, think seriously before complying with the company’s recommendation to allow it access to your personal contact lists: you may leave yourself exposed to the risk of persecution and/or litigation for breaching privacy laws. Your contacts did NOT give you permission to release their private contact details to the company!

I always tell individuals to research the business and their principles before joining any opportunity. It’s no different with Web Prosperity; do your research. I’ve been marketing on the Internet since March, 2000, and I’ve seen so many opportunities come and go. If they are filled with hype and lies, they will not be around very long. Before you spend any money, always invest your time in checking out the company and their principles.

Another part of building web prosperity is knowing exactly what your web site is doing, tracking traffic. Without traffic, and I’m talking about quality traffic, you’re not going to prosper. Prosperity on the web is possible, if you have the right tools to help you. Today, with all of the web 2.0 sites like Youtube, Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter, it’s easy to get your information out to the masses. Social sites also allows to to connect, and stay connected, to your family and friends. So, how do you get started to build prosperity on the web?

If you’re like most novice Internet marketers, you would start with Facebook or Myspace. Although those are truly active and popular sites, they may not be the best sites for promoting your business. The two previously mentioned sites are great for family and fun, but if you’re trying t build an online business, or make your mark known, I prefer sites link Ning, Ojeez, or Veretekk.

"Matrix plans have been subjected to attacks by regulatory agencies because they sometimes look like ‘a game.’ By and large, they have not had a successful record or influence in the MLM industry." – Luis Garcia, in a press release titled, Web Prosperity – A BIG LIE! This is just one of many press releases, articles, or blog posts you can find regarding Web Prosperity. Web Prosperity is doomed to fail, not because of the press they are receiving, but because of the lack of a quality product. Mr. Garcia states that he has not seen "any service driven network marketing company that has amounted to anything." Web Prosperity is a service driven company; they DO NOT sell products.

"The only way to build a six figure passive income is by promoting real consumable products and building relationships with people. Not by sending out a bunch of email or promoting services that promise the same," states Garcia.

Continuing with Mr. Garcia’s press release, here’s what he has to say about the founder of Web Prosperity. "David D’Arcangelo didn’t make millions by being dumb. This guy keeps reinventing himself every few years and makes money from innocent people who are lured into opportunities of wealth like Web Prosperity. I’m not surprised at the enormous amount of people lining up for the next best thing to hit the Internet and promises of wealth. How about the compensation plan? Garcia writes, "they (Matrix Plans) have not had a successful record or influence in the MLM industry, and they foster non-producers, which makes the upline distributors resentful. Nevertheless, several companies operate matrix plans including Web Prosperity. Why, because the gurus and first to join make a lot of money."

"David D’Arcangelo and his cronies don’t care they will make millions in the first three months of launch. Web Prosperity will be around three years from now but at a fraction of its initial launch numbers and David will be advertising the next best thing.
